The BeyondWater Gravity filter uses the most advanced ceramic filter technology available.
BeyondWater uses a (diatomaceous earth) ceramic shell with a QuickDrip carbon block core inside to offer the reduction of aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, chloramines, chlorine, fluoride, lead, mercury, nickel, radionuclides, tri-halomethane, microplastics, pharmaceuticals, zinc and much more in a single, revolutionary ceramic filter element. This filter offers more consistent filtration reductions over the life of the filter when compared to other ceramic filters that use a granular core due to the water having to pass through the carbon block wall inside the ceramic filter element. The block ensures all the water has sufficient contact time, resulting in slightly higher reductions and more consistency than the granular core versions.
Our BeyondWater filter might have a slower flow rate compared to some other granular core versions. However, this is because it features a block core that guarantees consistent contaminant reduction throughout the filter’s lifespan. Unlike other filters that lose their effectiveness over time, our filter will maintain its consistency, ensuring that your water remains at its optimal quality. In the realm of filtration, speed is not a measure of effectiveness.
Flow will taper off as the water in the upper reservoir drops, to maintain flow we recommend topping up the upper reservoir periodically. We include a white tube in the carton that can be inserted into the opening in the threaded end of the filter to increase flow rate when you need water quicker but it is advised that you let is work it’s magic to get the best water possible for you and your loved ones.

You will observe a noticeable reduction in the filtration time (the duration of a filter cycle). Additionally, you may perceive a change in the taste of the water.
The BeyondWater ceramic filters can be scrubbed with a green scrub pad to prolong their lifespan if there is a significant buildup on them. However, it is recommended to replace them annually to ensure optimal performance and quality.
Your filter is likely functioning correctly. This is because the carbon block (third stage) of the filter restricts water flow intentionally to provide the most effective filtration. Without the weight of a full tank, the water can almost come to a standstill near the end.
Some other filters employ a granular core that degrades over time. While this approach allows for faster filtration, it does not guarantee consistent filtration throughout the filter’s lifespan.
BeyondWater believes that speed is not the sole criterion for filter selection. We have chosen a technology that we believe offers superior quality for our customers, even if it requires a slightly longer wait to fully appreciate its benefits.
Simply use of the remaining water in your bottom tank and then refill the top when you are ready for your next batch of BeyondWater 🙂
